About
Justin is a multidisciplinary product designer working at the intersection of character-driven aesthetics, visual storytelling and interactive design.
His practice explores how graphic elements—such as patterns, expressions and symbolic forms—can be translated into tangible objects that communicate emotion in intuitive and engaging ways.
With a strong interest in bridging 2D and 3D visual languages, Justin creates work that feels both playful and dimensional, informed by 2.5D cultural aesthetics. His approach combines digital tools with physical prototyping and embedded technology, allowing visual narratives to evolve into responsive, interactive experiences.
Grounded in his background in illustration and character design, Justin brings a distinct sensitivity to form, expression and user interaction. Through his work, he aims to create products that foster meaningful, emotionally resonant relationships between users and technology.
This project explores how digital notifications can be reimagined into a more emotionally engaging and less overwhelming experience.
In today’s fast-paced digital environment, users are constantly exposed to excessive notifications, often leading to stress, distraction and notification fatigue. This project proposes an alternative system that communicates information through expressive visual interactions rather than traditional text-heavy alerts.
By integrating character-based expressions, 2.5D visual aesthetics and interactive feedback, the design transforms notifications into a more intuitive and emotionally aware experience. Instead of overwhelming users, the system filters and conveys urgency through visual cues such as motion, expression and form.
The outcome is a compact, interactive object that bridges digital information with physical interaction, encouraging a more mindful relationship with notifications.
