Cycle of Time

In ageing societies, daily life is often fragmented, and the accumulation of time, possessions and experiences can be overlooked.

This project reinterprets the lives of older adults as a spatial system of accumulation, exchange and growth, structured across three interconnected levels.

The first level centres on collecting and organising materials such as recycled newspapers, symbolising time while encouraging community interaction. The second level supports learning and social engagement through reading, digital activities and games. The third level extends into a garden, where physical activity and cultivation transform time into growth.

By linking these layers, the project proposes a slower, more meaningful lifestyle that keeps older adults active, engaged and connected within a shared community.
