Xinhui primarily works with oil painting, watercolour and paper-cutting. She favours a delicate and gentle visual language and excels at striking a balance between traditional craftsmanship and contemporary painting.
Xinhui's work explores the human life cycle, inner emotions and the warmth of everyday life, capturing the soft, subtle and indescribable inner world of existence through gentle, healing imagery. Through her work, Xinhui strives to create a tranquil spiritual haven for her audience—a place where they can discover emotion in the ordinary, feel the warmth of life as time passes and find solace in art.
fig -人
fig -人 is based on long-term observations of natural ecosystems and incorporates metaphorical expression techniques of modern art.
The work presents the five key stages of the plant life cycle—germination, growth, maturity, decay and regeneration—through visual art forms. The life cycle of the fig shares essential similarities with the developmental trajectory of humans.
The work suggests that as long as we maintain our resilience to live, we will ultimately embrace a future filled with hope.
