About
Shakira is a graduating student of the BA (Hons) Fashion Media and Industry programme, with a strong interest in creative direction, styling, graphic design and visual storytelling. Her work often explores themes of emotion, identity and personal growth through fashion-led visuals, publication design and campaign concepts.
Alongside her studies, she works as a brand and creative designer, with additional experience in visual merchandising and social media event management. She is also experienced in marketing, where she has assisted with content planning, visual design, livestream preparation, campaign materials and brand communication. This experience has strengthened her understanding of how creative ideas are translated into real commercial outputs, from social media content to event collaterals and customer-facing visuals.
As a creative, she enjoys developing concepts from moodboards to final visuals, paying close attention to colour, layout, styling and overall atmosphere. She sees herself as someone who can balance both creative thinking and practical execution, whether it is for a fashion editorial, brand campaign, publication or digital content.
With Love, Shak is a creative publication project that explores personal growth, emotion and self-discovery through the metaphor of a flower’s life cycle. Structured around five phases—germination, budding, bloom, wilt and renewal—the project reflects how growth is rarely linear, and how different stages of life can hold beauty, uncertainty and transformation at the same time.
Through fashion imagery, visual storytelling and editorial design, the project challenges the idea that life must follow one fixed path. Instead, it presents growth as something fluid and deeply personal, allowing space for change, pause, vulnerability and becoming. With Love, Shak is both a visual diary and a creative reflection, combining emotion, aesthetics and concept development to create a body of work that feels intimate, thoughtful and honest.
