Paula Pruistine Ridhuan Aman

About

Paula’s design practice is driven by a sustained engagement with spatial storytelling.

She positions interior architecture as a medium through which experiences are constructed rather than merely accommodated. Her work explores the intersection of aesthetics, function and emotion, translating conceptual frameworks into environments that are both purposeful and experientially resonant.

Central to Paula's design methodology is an awareness of sonderthe recognition of diverse and layered human experiences—which informs her investigation into how spatial conditions, materiality and user interaction shape perception, behaviour and social connection.

She is also developing technical proficiency in platforms such as AutoCAD, SketchUp and Adobe Photoshop, enabling the effective communication of ideas across conceptual, representational and technical stages.

Through each project, Paula aims to create spaces that are thoughtful, adaptive and immersive, guided by eunoia, while balancing creativity with clarity and continuing to grow as a designer.

Verdant spatial strategies explore garden-based interventions and biophilic spaces as mechanisms for enhancing emotional well-being and fostering communal engagement in a metropolitan concrete city.

In response to the dominance of concrete urban environments, the project introduces layered green infrastructures that transform the interior into an immersive, sensorial landscape.

A central vertical garden atrium acts as a spatial anchor, shaping circulation, visual connectivity and interaction across multiple levels. Verdant spatial strategies explore vertical garden-based interventions and integrated biophilic systems as catalysts for enhancing emotional wellbeing and fostering communal engagement within a dense metropolitan context.

Programmatically, urban farming zones, garden libraries and shared cultivation spaces encourage both individual reflection and collective participation. The vertical system maximises spatial efficiency while allowing light, vegetation and movement to permeate the environment.

Through this approach, the project redefines the urban interior as a verdant, adaptive space that mediates between nature and the built, cultivating a renewed sense of community.
