NYNA - The future of assistive vision

NYNA is an assistive smart vision aid tool for people with central vision loss to help regain their independence.

The product is a speculative project which theorises how upcoming technology (retinal projectors) could be incorporated to invoke interest and curiosity without stigma.

The product was developed because existing vision aids are bulky, visually intrusive and/or not designed specifically for central vision loss, making them largely ineffective.

NYNA is customised to your Preferred Retinal Locus (PRL) to display an image in the most suitable way for you. It projects the image directly onto your retina, surpassing the iris, pupil and cornea.
